Heavy-Duty Export Transport Housing for High-Value Industrial Assets

A long-haul shipment puts more strain on packaging than most procurement teams plan for. Dust works into open joints, humidity collects inside sealed containers, and rough handling finds every weak point in a crate’s frame. Our enclosed wooden export boxes close those gaps with a continuous solid-wall barrier, so instrumentation, valves, and multi-ton components reach their destination the way they left the factory floor. This protection is a core component of our wider industrial timber packaging products, used every day to protect high-value assets shipping directly out of the industrial sectors of Jubail, Dammam, across the Eastern Province to Khobar, through King Abdulaziz Port, Jubail Commercial Port and Jeddah Islamic Port.

Heavy-Duty Wooden Export Boxes for High-Value Cargo

Long shipments are hard on packaging. Three things cause most damage:

  • Dust and sand get in through open joints.
  • Humidity builds up inside sealed containers.
  • Rough handling finds every weak point in the frame.

Our enclosed wooden export boxes have solid walls with no gaps. Valves, instruments and multi-ton parts arrive the way they left your factory. These boxes are part of our wider range of industrial timber packaging products.

Where We Deliver Wooden Boxes in Saudi Arabia?

Our factory is in Dammam, and we ship boxes to industrial sites and ports across the Kingdom:

Types of Wooden Boxes We Make

1. Solid-Wall Wooden Boxes (Enclosed)

Fully closed boxes with no open seams. Best for export freight, sea containers, air cargo and anything that must stay clean and dry.

2. Slatted Wooden Crates (Open Boxes)

Open-frame crates with gaps between boards. Use them when customs needs to see the cargo or when the load needs airflow. They cost less than solid boxes and still protect against impact.

3. Heavy Machinery Crates & Transport Bases

For transformers, oilfield control panels and other loads measured in tons. We build a hardwood base with cross-bracing first, then add lift points and forklift pockets before the walls go on.

4. Multi-Compartment Parts Boxes

Boxes with dividers and foam-lined sections for spare parts, mixed shipments and sensitive items.

Rust and Moisture Protection Inside the Box

The wooden shell protects the outside. The inside protection decides whether metal parts survive a sea trip. We use kiln-dried Spruce-Pine-Fir and hardwood panels, dried to stop mould, plus one of these:

    • Vacuum-sealed aluminium foil: removes moist air before the box is closed.
    • VCI film lining: releases anti-rust compounds for the whole voyage.
    • Shock blocking and padding: shaped to your product so it can’t move in transit.

Export Packing Standards on Every Box

An export box must satisfy the shipping line, the destination port and customs. Here is what we include:

    • Sea freight boxes: sized for 20ft and 40ft containers, with thicker walls for long voyages.
    • Air freight boxes: lighter plywood builds to keep shipping weight down.
    • Markings: ISO 780 handling symbols (This Way Up, Fragile, Keep Dry), centre-of-gravity and sling points, shipping marks, and gross/net weight.
    • Documents: packing list in a weatherproof pouch, plus the ISPM 15 heat-treatment certificate.

Heat-Treated Wooden Boxes for Fast Customs Clearance

A box stuck at the border costs more than the cargo inside it. Every export box, new or remanufactured, goes through the same kiln process:

    1. Wood core is heated to 56°C.
    2. Temperature is held for 30 minutes.
    3. Box is stamped with the official IPPC HT mark.
    4. You get a printed certificate for Saudi Customs and the destination port.

Technical Box Design & Engineering FAQs

What is the difference between a wooden box and a wooden crate?

A wooden box has solid walls that keep out dust, sand and moisture, so it suits export goods and machinery. A crate has open slats, which makes it cheaper and allows airflow.

How thick should the wood be for my box?

Light domestic goods use 9-12mm panels, export boxes use 18-25mm, and heavy industrial crates use thicker structural timber. Share your product weight and we'll choose the right thickness.

Can your used or recycled wooden boxes clear strict international ISPM-15 customs protocols?

Yes. Reconditioned and remanufactured boxes go through the identical heat-treatment cycle as new production: 56°C core temperature, held for 30 minutes, so they carry the same IPPC certification.

Do plywood export boxes need ISPM 15 treatment?

Plywood is exempt, but solid wood parts like skids and battens must be heat-treated and stamped. We treat them on every export order.

Can used or recycled wooden boxes pass ISPM 15?

Yes. They get the same heat treatment as new boxes and carry the same IPPC certification.

How fast can you deliver wooden boxes?

Within 24–48 hours across Saudi Arabia, depending on size and quantity. There is no minimum order.

Do you deliver outside the Eastern Province?

Yes. We deliver to Riyadh, KAEC, Yanbu, Jeddah and all regions of Saudi Arabia.
